Notice: we are now OPEN!
Best way to contact us is by e-mail: stay@americanhotelseattle.com

Due to COVID-19, we are open at limited capacity. We strongly recommend making online reservations before your arrival.

The Washington State Department of Health has issued a statewide order requiring individuals to wear a face covering in indoor public spaces such as stores, offices and restaurants. The order also requires face coverings outdoors when you can't stay 6 feet apart from others. Due to the nature of our shared spaces as a hostel, we are requiring all guests to wear masks in shared common areas.

Set in the Chinatown-International District neighborhood of Seattle, our hostel is minutes away from the Amtrak station, Bolt Bus stop and the Link Light Rail station which is the easiest and least expensive way to reach Sea-Tac Airport. We are only 10 minutes away from CenturyLink Field  and T-Mobile Park, and a quick 10 minute bus ride to Seattle's most popular tourist attraction, Pike Place Market. Other popular sites such as the Space Needle and Seattle Center are only 15 minutes away by bus.

Voted Best Hostel for Digital Nomads in Seattle in 2019, our hostel offers free WiFi, a shared lounge, laundry facilities, and more!

Upon check-in, US residents must provide a current and valid state-issued photo ID and international guests must provide a current and valid passport. Please note that all special requests cannot be guaranteed and are subject to availability upon check-in.  Residents of Seattle and surrounding Seattle area are not eligible to stay at HI-Seattle Hostel. Additional charges may apply.
Please note: You must be over the age of 18 to stay at the hostel, or have a parent or guardian present.
